Southwest China is a feature for the art of the University of Hawaii this week,
a region of topographic, climatic and human diversity, is home to 31 of China's
56 ethnic groups. With over 500 of the finest and historically significant
objects on loan from Taiwan-based collector, Huang Ying-feng, Writing
with Thread celebrates the diverse and splendidly woven and embroidered
handicrafts of these peoples.
To promote, perpetuate, preserve and encourage culture and the arts, history and the humanities as central to the quality of life of the people of Hawai`i. HSFCA funding is provided by the State of Hawai`i and the National Endowment for the Arts. The HSFCA is administratively attached to the Department of Accounting and General Services.

We just wanted to touch base on our wedding and provide you with some details that we've decided on.
Bring flower for the brides hair
Time - We would like to get married at 1:30pm. Will the sun be at a good angle at that time for photos and such? If you think a different time would be better we are definitely flexible.
Colors/Flowers - French style round.....We have decided that our colors will be fuschia, orange, and yellow. I would like my bouquet to be plumerias in those colors, as well as our leis. We have also decided to go with the bamboo arch with fuschia, orange, and yellow fabrics and flowers scattered around. We would like to incorporate pineapples and those decorative monarch butterflys that are featured in some of the layouts into our theme as well.
Minister - We would like to request as our first choice, followed by . Will we be meeting with our minister before our ceremony? Also, can we adapt the vows featured on your website, or come up with our own?
Cake - We would like to have a coconut cake with vanilla butter cream frosting (or something along those lines) in a tiered design (2-3 tiers) with flowers in our colors cascading down the side/around the base.
Well, that's it for now. We are soooooooooooooo excited and are counting down the days - less than 4 months now!
